The "Friends of TNT" program offers you, the Team in Training team member, great discounts at businesses in the local area. Businesses agree to become "friends" as their way of giving to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Business of all types have become "friends" in the past.

Encino Cyclery is the bike shop sponsor of the team that Coach Paul races for. Kevin Casey, the owner, has offered all TNT team members at 15% discount on parts and service. If you kiss up to him and tell him how virile and manly he looks, he might just do simple repairs for free :-)
Helen's Cycles has 5 stores in the LA area; unfortunately, most of them are on the west side. They have locations in

Helen's has offered a 10% discount on new bikes and a 15% discount on "gear" (I'm not sure whether "gear" is limited to helmets, shoes, etc. or whether it also includes levers, brakes, etc. (i.e., the kind of parts that need periodic replacing as part of servicing). I'm not certain about service, I'm still trying to find out.
In order to claim your discount from Helen's you will need to pick up a "team discount card", which won't be available until the LLS office gets the team roster to Helen's, which should happen shortly.
